Mr. Woodsmall is the founding partner of the Woodsmall Law Group, which provides representation for disability and special education related matters. He is also the parent of a child with autism. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Pepperdine University, and his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University's prestigious SCALE program.
He currently holds the position of Professor-Adjunct at the USC School of Law, teaching in the area of Special Education Law. Mr. Woodsmall is also the attorney instructor for the Special Education Advocacy Training (SEAT) Project and a Special Education Attorney for the Educational Empowerment Program (EEP) with the USC UCEDD Center for Disability Studies and Community Inclusion.
Mr. Woodsmall sits on the Community Advisory Board for the UCLA Center for Autism Research and Treatment (CART) and has served as a member of the LAUSD Modified Consent Decree Task Force on Due Process. He is a frequent lecturer on issues relevant to parent's rights under the IDEA Mr. and is on the Cure Autism Now - Government Relations Committee
