Orientation to Healthcare for Individuals with Disabilties and their Families Author: Goldfarb, F.
Orientation to Healthcare for Individuals with Disabilities and their Families is a curriculum to train Community Health Advocates (CHAs) in the Opening Doors Project, which is funded by a grant from the California Endowment and in part by the Administration on Developmental Disabilities. CHAs are bi-cultural/bi-lingual lay health advocates and may also be the parent of an individual with a developmental disability, who provide quality information to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in underserved communities on healthcare and healthcare systems.
